Previous download at 97%, Resume download started at 5%!

Hi all,

Problem. I was dl-ing this 6GB torrent, and left off ~99%. When I resumed, it stated I had only downloaded 5%! And it started downloading again from there. Now my torrent is at 7GB and is still shown as 5.3%!

I then hashed the torrent. It slowly went all the way up to 97% before promptly dropping down to 5% again!

Anyone else with this problem? I do not want to restart the entire download as I should already have the complete file - more than that actually at 7GB. Any ideas anyone?

Hi,

Since you are using a stable version, there is a good chance that your computer could have a problem. I recommend running a full hard drive scan, with Scandisc, or another good hard drive scanner.

I would also run a virus and spyware scans.

If they don’t find any problem, then reboot your computer, then start bit comet, and begin rehashing the files.
