i tried converting FAT 32 to NTFS and this is what happened:

Press y when it asks to dismount. If it says it can’t dismount, press y to schedule it for the next reboot. Then reboot your computer.
I’m pretty sure you can’t convert to NTFS without a reboot anyway.
