i was wondering i have dn ok speed 250kb max it was only 30 before i port forwarded (10010) and i was dl and upldn like crazy and my max kbs went to almost 500 and it went back down to 250kbs right away is there something i can do that will allow it to remain at those speeds(500kbs)
You cannot do anything about your download speed past opening a port and making sure you have as much upload bandwidth as you can (but not more than 80% of your maximum) for that task.
BitTorrent is a p2p protocol meaning that you get everything from others like you and you can’t tell what the next guy will do, if any.

Also keep in mind that your download rate is dependent on your ability to upload. Most internet connections that have a max download speed of 500kB/s have a much slower upload rate, so hitting that maximum download speed will be rare. If you were able to upload at 500kB/s, then you would likely see your max download speeds more often.
