Recovering a deleted bitcomet task

Hi,

I accidentally deleted a task in BitComet while it was still in the download process. I have the actual files that were being downloaded though and the original torrent file. What I dont have is the xml file that keeps track of the download progress, its peers etc. Is there any way to resume such a task ?

Yes,

go ahead and open up the .torrent with Bitcomet

make sure it still is pointing to where the partial file(s) are

then instead of selecting Start Now, choose Resume

it should hash check what you got and start where you left off

if it doesnt hash check and starts over from the beginning

then stop the task right click on it and select Manual Hash Check

once its done checking go ahead and start it up again :slight_smile:
