For some reason, I can download when connected directly to my modem, but when I connect to my router, all downloads refuse to work, regardless of the program I use to do so. The modem I am using is the Linksys BEFCMU10, and the router the Linksys RT31P2 (VoIP type). Net browsing and singular downloads remain consistant, but Torrent programs and limewire will not connect. If any further information is needed, let me know.
What does BitComet report when you try?
Nothing. That’s why I’m confused about it. It opens and says connecting for all of the downloads, but none of the ever start. When I unplug it from the router and connect it to the modem, they start right up again.
Do you successfully scrape the tracker? Do you get a peer list? What does the peers tab tell you?
Sorry, but you’ll have to dumb that last statement down a bit. I just a novice to the whole torrent scheme of downloading. The Peer list of any given download has a long list of IP addresses, and the amount uploaded by each. When connected directly to the modem it shows which ones it is seeding from at the moment, when on the router, they do nothing. It acts as if I have no connection at all.
Start BitComet using the router connection, and look at the Trackers tab. Load a torrent, start it, and watch the trackers tab to see if you get any indication of an error message, then report what it says. If there is no error there, look at the peers tab and notice whether you are seeing any connections. Finally look at the summary and logs tab and notice any relevant messages from there.
