well… i installed the latest version of Bitcomet. the problem is this… i’m trying to d/l a somewhat large file (8.5GB), the d/l speed is great (230KBPS) but everything i’m d/l is ‘rubbish’, i d/l 1 GB and 97% of it is rubbish so i actually d/l 40 MB.

this could be a problem with your connection, or other peers.
It is quite easy for your ISP to test your connection for packet loss.
If you keep getting bad data from the same peer/s, then you can block them, but if its your connect that is bad, you are likely to be blocked by other users.
Suspect
stop the task, right-click, manual hash check. then start the task.
