Slow Downloads

Hello,

Total newbe here, so please excuse me if this is a silly question. But, I am a bit shocked by the slow download rate. I am getting, on average about 8KB/s. I have used other P2Ps and have gotten 100+KB/s downloads. I have read the FAQ, perused the Preferences and I am a bit mystified. There certainly seems to be ample, peers. Am I just doing something/missing a setting?

I have same problem. With DC++ i have maxinum 150kb/second while BitComet gives me only 16kb/second.

I dont know what to do, so could someone advice me? Thanks!
