i downloaded the is game torrent today for my pc and win i try to open the mdf file with winrar i get the error message that i attached below. did i do something wrong or is this file just not any good? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx!
Yes, you surely did do something wrong.
Do NOT open an “mdf” file. Mdf/Mds are a disc image made with alcohol 120%.
If you extract the files and try to install you will likely get several “dll” errors.
You can burn this disc with alcohol, or mount it in a virtual cdrom drive.

ps. it also appears you did not add the file attachment into your post.
sorry about that, i ran out of global space and had to figure out how to fix it. i tried to ,ount with alcohol 120 but got unsupported win 32 application? what do i do?
there should be a “mds” file with the “mdf” file…
as there should be a “cue” file with the “bin” file…
It is also very strange to get one disc in mds/mdf and second as bin/cue
If those are the only files you got, then I suspect the torrent was not prepared properly.
Have you read the .txt file?

EDIT: it looks like you have your folder options set to hide file extensions. I suggest you correct this, as it may be causing you to not see the file properly

I had added the following info to my post after reviewing your screenshot.
it looks like you have your folder options set to hide file extensions. I suggest you correct this, as it may be causing you to not see the file properly
Please go into folder options and uncheck the box “hide file extensions for known file types” and select “apply to all folders”
You should now be able to properly view the files.
Then use alcohols burning wizard to burn the two disc images.
