Total Speed differs from sum of partial speeds.

I’m downloading/uploading three files:

File 1 - download speed: 1 kb/s Upload: 0 kb/s

File 2 - download speed: 10 kb/s Upload: 1 kb/s

File 3 - download speed: 5 kb/s Upload: 0 kb/s

Why my Sygate Firewall and the BitComet info-mini-window (that one, which you can see, when you put cursor over BitComet icon in tray) show, that I’m downloading 26 kb/s and uploading 11 kb/s?

Another question - I stop all those three tasks using right-click command and I still have 8kB/s download and 9 kb/s upload, even though all those tasks are stopped?

Yep I’m asking the same question about the speeds after the stoping of the torrent downloading, and of course I will answer you’re first question, bittcomet is using extra brodband cas he has to make the connections to the peers or the seders…
