Unable to resolve 'tracker.bitcomet.net'

Hello,

I’ve seen various torrents with tracker set to ‘udp://tracker.bitcomet.net:8080/announce’, but I not able to resolve ‘tracker.bitcomet.net’, I wonder if this is a valid DNS name? What is the IP of it?

There is no such tracker. Bitcomet.com does not host a tracker. It makes tracker software, but does not host a public tracker site itself.

You see this because it’s in the “create torrent” dialogue as an example URL for a tracker. It shouldn’t ever be used, because it doesn’t exist. Most trackers, btw, don’t support UDP anyway. A few do, but most of them use HTTP only.
