uploading but not downloading

Hello all, I’m new to the game so I could use a little information…

I’m trying to download a somewhat obscure file. I’m only connected to 2 seeds and 4 peers. For some reason, my file has stopped downloading altogether, but it’s still uploading.

Can anyone tell me what that means and what I can do about it? It would seem to me that if there are people out there uploading from me, I should be downloading from them.

There could be many reasons for this. The two seeds you are connected to could be running multiple torrents (the biggest problem with bit torrent these days), and therefore providing almost no data to you, and the other peers could not have any pieces that you need.

I would need alot more info to say for sure, but this is common for unpopular torrents, so I would hang in there, and hopefully those seeds will give you some data soon.
