It is technically impossible to change the username.
If you want to use a new name, then you probably need to register a new cometid.
Of course, that isn’t a change. It’s just a new username and doesn’t inherit anything from the previous one.
Most forums/sites just don’t allow changing usernames, because it’s too much hassle for the operators and too confusing for the users.
