when i start up my mpcstar and click to open a new file, on ‘file name’ button there is a drop-down list of previous files i’ve watched… is there any way to delete or disable this list?

That’s and Windows Explorer issue. Get an app like CCleaner and clean your temporary files regularly.
im currently using ‘webroot washer’ and it seems to work fine… i’ll try your suggestion - many thanks!
