Ver 7.4 and higher wont start on my System (info included)

I switched from version 7.0 to 7.9 and it would not start. After clicking on the Bitcomet icon and waiting a few minutes nothing would come up and the program did not show up on the Windows Task Manager under the Processes list. There is no error reported of any kind. I tried version 7.5, and still no start. Same with 7.4 Only with 7.3 would it start working again.

No version above 7.3 would start, or give error message or show up in the task magager.

Here is my system info. If you need any further info, please let me know and i will provide it.

Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600

HP Pavilion 061 X86 based PC

1 meg Ram

X86 Family 15 Model 35 Stepping 2 Authentic AMD

yep i had problem with bitcomet 7.9 after reformating my drive so i went back to 70 and its up and running no problems

First, version numbers. 1.0 hasn’t been released, so all of the versions are below 1. There’s no 7.9, it’s .79

The last stable version is .70, so that’s the one you want to stay with until a later stable version is announced.
