WHAT DOES "Inavlid menu handle" MEAN!!???

first i choose a file to download

then something pops up asking me to ‘open’ it or ‘save as’

so i click open and there is some process going on

usually after this is completed, the file goes to the ‘transfer’ section of bitcomet

however there are many occasions that after that process thing is completed, it says ‘invalid menu handle’

what just happened?? what does that mean??

i have included a picture of wat i mean

This is because sometimes the torrent is being messed up when it is being run from a temporary internetfolder.

What you shall do with torrents like those are to “save as” the torrent, run the torrent, and then just simply delete the saved torrent..

You perv! :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, you should also avoid .wmv files. Yeah usually have DRM license issues.

Nobody’s quite certain exactly what causes this. Microsoft’s explanation of the error is, “The menu handle was invalid.” Thank you very much, Microsoft.

It happens a lot, relatively speaking. Every bittorrent client has reports of it, as do most other internet applications including Eudora, Lotus Notes, &c. clear back to the introduction of NT, with nary a satisfactory explanation or solution.

There are some workarounds that seem to help, but that’s all that’s really available. One thing that sometimes works is to always save the torrent to a file on disk, then load it into your client to start downloading. Another is to clear out your temporary internet files folder.
