Have just installed the proper Vista. Bit Comet works fine, but where does it store the downloads? Not in the download directory as you would expect. Would be grateful if someone could help. 
Yes, they are in your download folder, but vista won’t let you see them.
You will need to change your default download folder to a part of the computer that microsoft feels your allowed to view, such as “my documents”, or “desktop”.
I suggest you boot in safe mode, or command prompt to move the files that are trapped in that folder now.
