moxy
I'm using Bitcomet 0.70 for a while now and it always worked fine but recently it started to crashe.I sent crash reprot to you guys but didnt had any news.Hope you can help me I'm not having a problem with crashes with .70, but for some reason i've gotten a huge increase in processor use over .68. Before this machine could handle 20ish torrents while still performing other tasks like playing mp3s in winamp smoothly. Now, BC hogs 50ish% of my CPU at all times even if I'm only downloaing 2 or 3 torrents. Seeing as how I'm too lazy to type all my system specs out, here's my cpu-z report: ---------------------- CPU-Z version 1.35 ---------------------- CPUID Output ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Number of CPUs 1 APIC ID 0 Name AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Code name NewCastle Specification AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3400+ Family/Model/Stepping FF0 Extended Family/Model F/F Brand ID 4 Package Socket 939 Core Stepping DH7-CG Technology 0.13um Instructions Sets MMX, Extended MMX, 3DNow!, Extended 3DNow!, SSE, SSE2, x86-64 Features NX Clock Speed 2247.4 MHz Clock multiplier x11.0 HTT Bus Frequency 204.3 MHz P-Rating 3400+ L1 Data Cache 64 KBytes, 2-way set associative, 64 Bytes line size L1 Instruction Cache 64 KBytes, 2-way set associative, 64 Bytes line size L2 Cache 512 KBytes, 16-way set associative, 64 Bytes line size L2 Speed 2247.4 MHz (Full) L2 Location On Chip L2 Data Prefetch Logic yes L2 Bus Width 128 bits Memory SPD ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ DIMM #1 General Memory type DDR Manufacturer (ID) Kingston (7F98000000000000) Size 512 MBytes Max bandwidth PC3200 (200 MHz) Part number K Serial number 6030CC21 Manufacturing date Week 51/Year 04 Attributes Number of banks 2 Data width 64 bits Correction None Registered no Buffered no EPP no Timings table Frequency (MHz) 133 166 200 CAS# 2.0 2.5 3.0 RAS# to CAS# delay 2 3 3 RAS# Precharge 2 3 3 TRAS 6 7 8 DIMM #2 General Memory type DDR Manufacturer (ID) Kingston (7F98000000000000) Size 512 MBytes Max bandwidth PC3200 (200 MHz) Part number K Serial number 60301121 Manufacturing date Week 51/Year 04 Attributes Number of banks 2 Data width 64 bits Correction None Registered no Buffered no EPP no with that, I shouldn't have any kind of problem running BC, but this thing is at a standstill. i even attached a brief history of my CPU use. enjoy
dimchopicha2003
I haven't any problems with 0.70 and my CPU is max 10% used no matter how much tasks I have. Try to make a clean install. Search the forum for how to "clean install" BC and still save your current tasks.
