Elandir
My download speeds never exceed 30 kb/s while my upload speed stays almost at a constant 40 kb/s. I am using healthy torrents and all the peers that I have connected to are listed as remote. I just got bitcomet working tonight, I followed various FAQs and got all of the settings/port fowardings setup. I am behind a Linksys Wireless B router but have the fowarding setup (to my knowledge) correctly.
colelau
When I check the peers initiation, I always only get "local", I have followed the necessary step in FAQ, i've done the port forwarding properly. i can see other peers download rate is like 10 times faster then mine( i normally get below 10 K/B). In fact, before I have touched anything on configuring the prot forwarding thing, i sometimes get download speed, 70K/B, but rare. And now I even having problem of loading web browser when using BitComet. Also, the test proxy link in FAQ, it returns me an IP different from my static IP(i believe its the one in run>cmd>ipconfig). Did i screw up anything so that my speed is so slow??
kluelos
There is a danger in following instructions blindly, without comprehension. Y'all need to understand what you are doing, and why, in order to do it properly. If you have only local peers, then you have not done your port-forwarding correctly or have something else blocking your listen ports. Start by reading this. Then read this. At this point, you ought to clearly understand the question about having two different IP's, and why it is a non-issue. If not, go back, read again, until you do get that clearly. This may help.
