XSTREM
Hi again! :) Well, I was about downloading a file from a closed tracker. But suddenly I get this information from the tracker: Tracker Response Error:Tracker Error 051 I think I am the only one getting this message. The admin from the tracker said I should ask in the support forums what that message ment. So what does it mean? Regards XSTREM ;)
Dark_Shroud
That can mean a lot of things. Stop the .torrent and then start it back up.
XSTREM
I have tried that several times. It still gives me the error, and it isen't reporting stats to my account. I guess I will be banned for ghosleeching if I continue downloading on that torrent, so I wont until this has been worked out. But what does it mean exactly? What should I say to the admin? Dark_Shroud
I was had things to do yesterday, this is a message borad not tech support it can take a day or two to get help because people are donating their time to help here. Let's go through all the usual steps. What version of BC are you using? It should be either the current (0.70), 0.64, or 0.63. And they should have been tried in that order. What security software are you using? Are you using something other than XP SP-2? Do you have a router with NAT &/or a firewall?
XSTREM
Ah, I understand. ;) I am using BitComet 0.70. I have tried µTorrent, but it gives me the exact same error. I am using BullGuard Antivirus and Saftey.NET firewall. No, I am using Windows Home Edition SP2 No router or hardware-firewall..
XSTREM
It has been sorted out! I got renewed the passkey at the tracker. The admin said it was BitComet who had messed up the Database, and he could see that it hasen't repported correctly to the tracker. I was about to get banned for cheat, but I told him I used BitComet. He will ban it very soon. I just say: Then FIX the god damn bugs in Bitcomet that does so it dosen't repport correctly to the tracker. Is it so hard?
Dark_Shroud
lol, you just closed the client without stoping any of the .torrens. That site's tracker doesn't update/refreash properly either. So in this case both are at fault.
XSTREM
No, he could see that BitComet is reporting uncorrectly to the tracker. Fx. I download one .rar file through a torrent. There are 30 rar files. (Let's say it's a DVD movie that are splitted up in 30 .rar files). Now I download that .rar file, and start to part-seed on it.. What BitComet does wrong here is that it sends a HTTP header saying that I have completed the whole DVD movie. That's what's wrong. It shouldn't say that. Now, under my stats it says that I have downloaded a DVD 100%. A DVD is usually around 4.3GB, but under my stats it says that I have only downloaded 50MB. This triggers the alarm at the tracker, and starts to suspect me for cheating. This is one of the biggest bugs in BitComet, and this is one of the reasons why BC is banned, and many other trackers soon will ban ALL BC clients. This is quite annoying..
