Rustbuket
Well I guess the topic says it all... I have heard that some of these guys that keep uploading ilegal movies as torrents can plug in a digicam into the theator projector.... Is this a hydro cam? kluelos
A CAM movie indicates that it was shot with a video camera, in a theatre. It's not plugged into the projector at all. CAM's are somewhere between indifferent and terrible quality, with poor audio and head shadows of other audience members, the camera set off vertical, and just about every other problem you can imagine in that situation. Hydro is simply the handle of the guy who released it. The alternatives for film captures are, in ascending order of quality, cam, telesync, telecine, and dvdrip. For those, google. Dark_Shroud
Best thing to do is wait for it to be released to DVD, rent it, and then copy it.
The UnUsual Suspect
There are some release groups that do exceptional "cam" work. maVen is first rate for example. A "telesnyc" is when a separate audio track is added to the "cam" video (often captured from headphone jack many movies offer for hearing disabled).
