kluelos
Your question isn't very clear ("downing side"???), so I may have misunderstood. You have the option, in your settings/options/whatever, to have BitComet attach an extension, ".bc!", to any file that has not finished downloading. This makes them easy to spot and group in directory listings. If you enable this option you'll be able to see which files BC thinks have not finished. If BC thinks a file has finished but there are clear indications that it has not, then you should perform a manual hash-check on it. This will recheck the file's integrity, delete any pieces which contain transmission errors, and re-download them. There is also an optional step to have BitComet automatically perform a hash-check on the complete file when it finishes. Enabling this is a good thing too. These things are detailed in the settings guide, which you should read. Many questions are answered there.
jgangus
Yes I saw the BC and have done what you said to but when i go to play the file it is still blurry and I can not burn it to disc. Does this mean the file is corrupt/bad? Any suggestions? Many Thanx for your help. I am new at this. greywizard
... but when i go to play the file it is still blurry ... What on earth do you mean by that? What is blurry, the player's image? Or do you speak of the file's icon? I've got no clue what you mean. You say: But when I go into the folder that holds these files their icon says they are not finished loading. Are you talking about the ACTUAL download folder or about the Bitcomet's categories you mentioned earlier in your first post? More important HOW does it say that? WHAT KIND of icon do you see? You whole post is very blurry to me. Give more real detalis. jgangus
Ok Heres as best as i can describe it. In my download folder are all my files. The ones i am talking about have the icon that is round and orange like the BC icon is beside this icon it has the name of the file and beside that it has the letters BC then it says Bitcomet unfinished download. I took this one person advice and ran the Manuel hash check and can see that any thing happened I open the file using WMP11 as the file plays what I see gets blurry and then clears up and back and dorth through out the whole file. If I use my VLC player it trys to repair the file before it plays It will not burn to disc this way, done tried it. If the file is corrupt then i will deleate it from my machine. Just how do you get the file to finish loading, if that is possible? On the bitcomet page where files are loading and then the page when you have all the files you have d/led this particular file is not there any more. The only place i see it is in my down loaded folder. I'm sorry to be a pain but I am sure there will other files that comes up like this and I would just like to know what to do with them the nexttime i down load one like this I hope i have explained myself better now. Many Thanx to all for trying to help me.

So, if I understand you well, you're saying that in Bitcomet's task list, neither in the Downloading nor in the Completed categories can you find the task that downloaded that file on your computer? Well, then forgive my asking but how were you able to perform a manual hash check on it? Because if you can't find it even under the All downloads (can you?) parent category then obviously you have deleted the task and kept only the file, therefore you can't perform a manual hash check on it. kluelos
It would probably be easiest to help you if you posted screenshots of your computer. We need to see the screen that says "BitComet unfinished download" on it; and the BitComet main window with "all tasks" selected in the view pane so that we can see all of the tasks you're currently running. If you don't know how to post a screenshot, look in the Guides and Tutorials section -- there's a great deal of useful information in that forum.
