stuperprohero
I have some issues with other programs that do not pertain to bitcomet and I need to reformat and reinstall everything. But I have a couple large downloads on bitcomet and hate to lose all the progress. is there any way to save my progress on an external hard drive and get things back the way it was before the reformat? greywizard
Yes, there is. Go to the File -> Import and Export menu in BitComet and in the export section select a location and filename of your choice for the backup file. Your current task list (including progress) and BitComet global settings will be saved to that file. I assume you already knew you'll have to save the contents of the download directory too, in case it resides on the partition pending formatting. Just make sure that upon reinstalling you will have the download directory under the same path as now.

greywizard
Don't mention it. Just one more thing: make sure you've selected "Export all tasks" and not just the "selected tasks" when you're on the respective dialog box.
