TK911
** Topic Moved ** I have windows vista, media player 11 and when I try to play a avi file this message appears in windows media player "codec error use windows media player" I have tried all kinds of so called media conversion downloads. Please any suggestion or hints would be greatly appreciated. I am new to the torrent file sharing and downloading. thanks, TK
greywizard
The only advice I can give you about that is to insist on playing only real video files. The one you're meddling with right now, is most certainly a fake.
kluelos
Bittorrent is about file transfer. It doesn't know or care what kind of file is being transferred, and once you have the file, Bittorrent's job is done. What you do with the file afterwards isn't Bittorrent's concern. Your issue is with video playback, and you'd have the same issue if you'd downloaded the file by normal http, by ftp, or got it from a DVD disk. i suggest you try the free vlc player from videolan.org, since it does not require that you install various filters on your system first. It will play just about anything, and is better-behaved/easier to use than WMP.
