No LT seeds connection

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm running under windows 7 64 bits, using the latest stable release of bitcomet, have all ports forward correctly.

Like 5 hours ago i have like 60++ LT seeds connected on this torrent but now on the peers tab the LT seeds don't even appear, the difference translates on having a 40 KB/s download on a 70 GB torrent (obviously a waste of time).

Does the LT seeds system req a minimum ratio? My ISP as like a 800 KB/s DL and a 70 KB/s Upload so its quiet hard to keep a ratio while downloading.

I was gonna add the torrent as a attachment but it wouldn't let me upload it even as a .rar so: Torrent

Thank you for your time

Edit: No firewall blocking though i think it is easy to understand since it was working before and i changed nothing.

The LT Seeds are BitComet clients just like yours, which finished downloading the same torrent and have LT Seeding enabled.

There is no way to guarantee that any client will stay online for as long as you need to finish the download (just like with normal BT seeds). If its owner either exits BitComet (or shuts down Windows) or it deletes the task from his tasklist you will lose him as a LT Seed.

The LT seeds do not use the standard tracker, or even DHT. The concept is unique to BitComet, so I have to assume in the absence of other data, that finding LT seeds depends on you and them being connected to a BitComet server somewhere. If that connection fails, you'll find no LT seeds.

Obviously, it would be hugely helpful to have some status indication of what's going on with this server, at least to know if you're not connected to it. But my guess about this is that you lost your connection to it one way or the other.

When you log into bitcomets server, it will attempt to locate peers and mirror servers to assist your downloading. There "may" be LTseeds available, or http/ftp, or emule sources, or there may be none at all.

You should also note that there is no such thing as a server with unlimited resources, and with the number of bitcomet users worldwide, there will be times when your request gets queued and your request for peers will be answered when there is resources available. Ever get a busy signal when making a phone call? you get the idea I'm sure.

I've just let it on all night and nothing xD so i don't think it is the queue.

my problem relies mostly on this being a laptop and i do not like to let it on more than 2 days in a row.

either way thank you for the replies

EDIT: Just noticed i can not see comments as-well
