srinivasmv419 Posted November 29, 2009 Share Posted November 29, 2009 good evng administrator,,,let me tel u small problem regarding http downloads,,i used to use bitcomet to download each n everything n it satisfies me alott with best download speeds for torrents n for even http links also,,,but from 1.16 version i noted a small problem for http downloads,,problem is that its loosing resume capability in downloading some files but da files actually supports resume capability,,till 1.15 it supported resume very decently,,pls check it out,,,n make it better in da next upcoming version,,coz i dont lik to use other download managers to download files,,thank u Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You'd be better off providing a link to a file download which fails to make use of the resume function, so that the developers could check and reproduce the error you speak about. Be sure to mention if that happens randomly or every time. Also provide other additional info such as your full system specs, what other applications are running at that moment, what does the Log tab of the Detailed Info Pane say, etc. Basically, everything that could bear an impact on how that goes. How about you uninstall and reinstall BitComet 1.16 and try to download thoses video files again? Check if this problem occur then and reply back. srinivasmv419 Posted December 2, 2009 Author Share Posted December 2, 2009 good morning ma'm,,,as u directed me to uninstall and reinstall i had done it,,i expected it could solve my problem as you expected,,but sorry to say that its of no use,,still the problem existed,,,not supporting resume,,here i would like to tell you one important matter,,ma'm you know why i am stressing this much on this issue because bitcomet supports the highest download speeds when resume supported for http links,,i tested each and every download managers and once upon a time i always used internet download manager(sorry to mention another application name in this forum but you should know it)to download files,,at that time i have no idea about using bitcomet to download http files(earlier i used bitcomet only to download torrents),,but when i tested bitcomet to download http files it impressed me a lottttttttttt you know,,it even kicked idm ma'm,,from then onwards i used only bitcomet to download resume supporting http files,,but from 1.16 my problem started,,to clarify my doubt i tested again in idm ,,it bothered me a lottt when i noticed that idm is resuming but bitcomet lost resume capability especially for videos which i already shown in one website(http://doctorsvideos.blogspot.com/) n also for all utube videos,,,i think it could be a bug,,, my reasons to say that its a bug resume supported for utube links in idm,bitcomet 1.15 but not supported in bitcomet 1.16 but all other resume files got resume in idm,1.15,1.16,,so final result is utube videos lost resume support in 1.16,,is that not a bug???? so finally this is the problem,,,after testing so many times i came to the above inference,,please check whether its bug or not,,,thank you Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Do you install BitComet video downloader for your Browsers? If you are using firefox, please chck Tools-Add-ons.
