naknir
Hello dear people, Until today everything was working fine. I have a new laptop and I installed BitComet 1.20 on it, opened port 10801 in my router settings (did exactly as the guides in portforward.com tell), static ip and everything. It all worked great until today, when it suddenly began to say "Detect Failed". That's all it said since, and I have no clue to why... I checked at canyouseeme.com and the port is open and OK according to the site. I tried opening 2 other ports as well, 61100 and 49200, with no luck either. My router is TP-LINK TL-WR541G. What shall I do so that BitComet (which is my favorite torrent client) return to work properly? Thanks you very much in advance, Nir. naknir
update: I now changed to port 65432 and opened it in router, and Bitcomet detects it properly. Green light. Is it logical that suddenly a port that was working, isn't anymore?
greywizard
This topic should shed some light upon the status light: BitComet Status Bar.
kluelos
This usually means that although you thought the first port was opened, it was not. That's very common.
