how to change default media player?

when I click preview or play in bitcomet, it goes to windows media player, is there a way I can change it to VLC player?

This will change the *Windows* default player for that filetype. It will not change the *BitComet* player at all. To change the player that BitComet uses, requires that you change BitComet's settings, not Windows'.

I am still confused here. To change the default Bitcomet player options>advanced

and what about the "Key"? Just enter the path to the new player??

if you installed VLCplayer to its default installer specified directory then on BitComet just go to Tools-->Options-->Advanced and in the "ui.preview_program_path" (@ the lowest) type in the directory path of your VLCplayer OR copy and paste this --> C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe
