filipex3
When I click the option "Check for updates" it says that no updates are available at this time, so I have to download version 1.20 manually...
gavin.wang
"Check for updates" is recommend version, is not the latest version.

Tima47
Filipex3 is right, i tryed bitcomet update on everyversion, even now when i have 1.16 and lasted is 1.20, it says "No update available. Your BitComet is Lasted Version. " You said recommended version, it says lasted version, you know its bugged. Please fix this automatic update bug. filipex3
Can't update from beta 20100521 to 1.
kluelos
If you mean automatically, of course not. It will not/should not/must not update you into a beta version -- not that they aren't all beta versions, there's never been a formal release, but some are beta-er than others. If you DON'T mean automatically, you've hopelessly confused the issue by posting the problem in this thread.
Vasy
Well, bitcomet.com says that the latest stable version is 1.21. And yet the update checker from "Help"/"Check for updates" (bitcomet menu bar) says that 1.20 is the latest stable release. Witch one is correct?
kluelos
Why would anyone release software that they know isn't stable? I mean, isn't that the definition of "not ready for release"?
Lucy26
The update checker in BitComet is sometimes recommending the "not the latest version", although we know the latest version is stable, there still can be some bugs that the team hasn't noticed. Thus the update checker will recommend the latest version some time after the release, just in case there're any unknown problems.
