joselemos
Hi, guys! I'm new at CometBird forums. There's an issue on CometBird, QuickTime alternative plugin does not work in this browser. Any solution? (Don't want to install full quicktime player)
kluelos
The team will need more information than that. What problems are you seeing? Are you seeing the same problems with Firefox? (CometBird is FireFox rebranded, so any problems the one has, the other usually has, and the FireFox forum is the place to go for solutions.) joselemos
thank for answering. At Firefox there's no problem. I cannot play Quicktime-based audio or movies.
kluelos
I'm sorry, that's not very clear. Do you mean that Firefox can play a quicktime movie using Quicktime Alternative while CometBird cannot play that same movie? If so, then exactly what do you mean by "cannot play"? Spend some detail here. Is the sound garbled? Is the picture pixellated? Exactly what does "cannot play" mean?
joselemos
At CometBird while trying to play a QuickTime movie or sound, appears a message telling that "plugin is not installed". CometBird tries to search and install it, but that does not work.
cassie
CometBird tries to search and install it, but that does not work. Does an error message appear? What does it say, exactly? Can you provide a screenshot of said error message?
joselemos
see attached file. QuickTime Alternative plugin does not appears in there. Should appears as in Firefox. Example: At Facebook while chatting with some friend a message requesting QuickTime plugin installation appears.
kluelos
In CometBird's location bar, type the words, about:plugins This will show you what plugins are actually installed and what filetypes they are set to handle.
joselemos
I don't know what happens: Now QT plugin appears installed (I've reinstalled it twice). Thanks.
