dianeallen99
:o I placed the initial Bit Comet entry in the exceptions list. To my surprise later I return to find 30 entries for Bit Comet portal number for TCP or UDP. My ignorance doesn't matter but is this something to worry over? What does it mean? kluelos
Almost all network applications including BitComet will use multiple ports for communication. Bittorrent generically uses more than most because it connects to more than most applications. With most applications you're connecting to a single server or set of servers, with peripheral stuff coming in from elsewhere. Bittorrent connects to hundreds of peers. This multitude of connections is why some routers have trouble handing bittorrent, because they try to "remember" connections and handle the overflow badly. The UnUsual Suspect
To really make this simple (if thats what your asking), it simply means bitcomet is doing it's job by connecting to other peers, so most likely nothing at all to worry about. cassie
... and since this section is for requesting new/different features in the client... and this post is not relevant to said purpose (and, thus, in the wrong forum...)... it's being moved to BitComet General Discussion...
