markdeng2010
Hi, is there anyone can help me with port number for my Netcomm NB9WMAXX? I have tried many numbers and it won't work. The yellow light just won't go away. Millions of thanks
EJIZME
Untill an Admin or Tech Support member can get to you, here is a link that might be helpful. Its definently interesting at the very least. BitComet Port forwarding for the Netcom NB9w I did not see any information about the NB9wmaxx. However, reading the manual that came with your router is always a helpful step! (If you've lost your manual just google "Netcomm NB9wmaxx manual" and that should find an online copy if there is one out there.) kluelos
There is no magic port number. It's not like a treasure that you have to find. *You* choose the port that you want to use, like choosing a (two-way) radio channel. Any unused channel will do. TO avoid confusion you want to stay away from ports commonly used for other things, so choose any port above 51000. You've already spent way more time on this than it is actually worth, so just choose port 65432 and stick with it. Hard to forget, start at 6 and count backwards. Tell BitCOmet to use port 65432. Tell your firewall. Forward that port on your router. Don't forget to set a static IP address between the computer and the router.
