No wait it is, but cant locate it in the actual ffdshow. greywizard Posted January 2, 2011 Share Posted January 2, 2011 ASF is not a codec but a container format. It usually contains video compressed in WMV format, but not limited to that. However, generally speaking, an ASF file will usually contain video compressed with Microsoft compression formats (WMV or VC-1) so I guess you should check in ffdshow if playback of Microsoft/Windows video compressed formats is enabled. If you end up with image but no sound you'll probably have to do the same thing for the audio part. Or you could open the file in MPC, WMP or another app like G-spot and see what codecs it uses and then only enable those specific ones in ffdshow.
