docgin
One of the features of CometBird that I detest is the Search Tab/Open in Tab feature. When you search for a word or term in the smart search bar a new tab opens each time. You can not begin a new search in an existing tab with out making a modification. Here's how you can alter what I call the search tab feature in CometBird. The result will be a Search Result in Same Tab 1. Type about:config in the search bar. 2. Click on the 'I'll be careful, I promise!' button. 3. Type browser.search.openintab into the ComitBird search field. 4. Double click the browser.search.openintab field. 5. It should now read False. The end result is when you enter a search into the smart searchbar the search will not automatically open in a new tab. The search will open in an existing tab. greywizard
So, how will posting this into the Forum suggestions area help any CometBird user? ***Topic moved to CometBird section***
docgin
The suggestion is to alter this feature so it is not set by default in future versions of CometBird. Thanks for moving the post to a more appropriate area and thanks for not being a d*** about it.
kluelos
That probably won't happen. For every one that hates a feature, there's someone else who loves it. For everyone that wants a default set one way, there's another who wants it set the other way.
