ragnarwolf11
I was downloading a bunch of files yesterday when I suddenly got an error message that I needed to free up disk space on my HD. BC then closed itself, asking me to load my progress from a backup file. I have not been able to find said file. Any help?

The UnUsual Suspect
If your system drive is full, then bitcomet (or any program) will be unable to save it's current status. Once you free up disc space, you can do a rehash on your active tasks to verify their level of download.
ragnarwolf11
The problem is that my active task list has disappeared. Any way to recover it?
The UnUsual Suspect
You can recover a prior version of it. Go to c:\users\your name\appdata\roaming\bitcomet and find the files named "downloads.xml.20110816.bak" (numbers are the date the backup was made) Pick the most recent date and Rename it to "downloads.xml" Restart bitcomet.
