kluelos
BitComet does not offer a password-protection option, or require one to start. Whatever you set that required a password must be some external program or security system. Without knowing what that is, we probably can't help you. greywizard
@ kluelos: Yes, it does. On the Options-->Appearance page. @ kapil_1234: You probably didn't perform a clean uninstall of BitComet. Look for the bitcomet.xml file, open it and delete the <BitcometLoginPassword> </BitcometLoginPassword> tags and everything in between them. It should look somewhat like this: <BitcometLoginPassword> 33ab510912d49423f8906b6ed0acb5f90c6f759d197bc7b8d369 </BitcometLoginPassword> Or if you find this operation too complicated just delete the whole file, but you'll lose all of your previous settings and you'll need to redo them. The UnUsual Suspect
This little known or used option was added back around version 0.8x/0.9x. As mentioned it's trivial to get past and is not intended to be any kind of security feature, but it will keep random curious people out of your downloads.
