niyhit
Hello, I just wanted to ask if the date and time set on the local pc where bitcomet is installed and downloading affects anything: download rate, trackers.... thank you.

The UnUsual Suspect
The date and time can have some adverse effects on security issues though. Things like your automatic updates, virus definitions, system registry, etc... you can get some serious issue if your altering your date settings. For example, lets say your browser has an exploit and has been updated to check to make sure it's fixed, and to check it looks for a file called "patch.fix" with a date of 12-25-2011 or newer, but your system clock say that date hasn't arrived yet, so you're going to get some unpredictable errors. Your anti virus updates are also keyed by date, so if you have updates installed for a date that your computer things doesn't exist yet, your system is going to assume you are either corrupted or infected. You're also likely to have problems with digital driver signatures too.
