niyhit Posted August 29, 2012 Share Posted August 29, 2012 Hello, I was surprise to find today one of my completed torrent download was restarted when it was 100% completed( 9.6 GB) and started at first 94% then now @ 8.5%. version of BitComet is 1.32( was going to update it today) Internet connection is ADSL 512 Kbps Ports are forwarded. firewall all configured. OS: XP SP2 32 bit Please tell whats wrong, I have always downloaded torrents about this size and never encountered such issue. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The UnUsual Suspect Posted September 4, 2012 Share Posted September 4, 2012 sounds to me like some data became corrupted or the downloaded files changed or were moved. Stop the task and do a manual rehash, this will confirm your level of completion and you can proceed from there. If this problem persists you could have a problem with your harddrive or file system. kluelos Posted September 4, 2012 Share Posted September 4, 2012 It's an optional setting, but when the download is finished, BitComet will run a final hash-check of the whole torrent. Anything that slipped past anyway, gets weeded out here. It's pretty unusual for much to slip past, but damage to the stored download will do the same thing and will look like this.
