robertparker13
Hi, I have a Windows xp PC. Everytime, I switched it on, its time gets changed. So, how to set default Time in Windows XP?
The UnUsual Suspect
The time is set by the computers bios firmware and the clocks time is maintained by a battery on your motherboard. If the time resets to the default time whenever you power it off that would indicate the battery is bad. In some cases this is just a matter of buying a new battery and plugging it in and in other cases you may have to solder the new battery onto the motherboard. You can also reset it each time you power on the computer and t will retain the time as long as it's powered on and you may be able to set the computer up to go into standby (sleep) mode rather than complete shutdown if you don't want to reset the clock each time but the best option would be to replace the battery.
