Notorious_PDR
Hi, I'm using BitComet and saving my torrent downloads to a NAS drive, WD-4100EX, and everytime I stop a download and restart it, it does a Hash check. I suspect that it's because of the NAS location, because when I download to my internal drive, this does not happen. This is not always convenient however, because my SSD is small 256GB. Is there some setting under Disk Cache or somewhere else in BitComet that I don't have set correctly? Thanks in advance for a solution.
GandalfTheWizard
//everytime I stop a download and restart it, it does a Hash check. If the download is incomplete, it's normal to perform a hash check before you start downloading it again. If the download shows to be complete but it still performs a hash check, either this is set up from options, or the download speed is faster than writing speed therefore, some pieces got lost and the file is incomplete. This can be fixed by limiting your download speed to 2000 KB/s (more or less; run some tests) Additional options about hash checking can be set by going to Tools > Options > Advenced and there you have three (I guess) options concerning hash checking.
