Now the file is in my Desktop, whenever i tri to run it , I get an error Like : " A licence is required to play the selected File " :angry: " To obtain the licence , you must visit the contens provider page , the provider may require you register or pay a fee for registration " " http://www.youngcelebrity.com/p2p/exgen.php " I tried using other players like Real Player, but the same error . I tried to use Linux Player .. " M player " , it is showing a garbage video . After all this effort, I can see the movie in front of me , and I cant Run it .. what a disappointment. timken Posted July 30, 2006 Share Posted July 30, 2006 Hi, the movie you are trying to see is encrypted and to read it you need to obtain a licence ( special key to open the file that cost money ), next time try to download .mpg video files because the format is not windows licence compatible. Thanks Buddy, Yes I have googled It. I will work on Cracking this licensed Stuff. I waited a lot and finally I get the licenced Stuff. kluelos Posted July 30, 2006 Share Posted July 30, 2006 I'd actually like to discourage the whole community from using .WMV at all, because of this. There's nothing special or better about the format, it's not technically excellent or anything like that. And I always suspect that if it's .wmv, it's licensed so I generally avoid it. .WMV is fine if you're creating licensed video and say so up front. Otherwise, don't use it to create/convert video.
