brokenfaraway
I use a D-Link wireless router, and latley while running bitcomet my grandfather, who uses the main computer, has been complaining that the speed is really slow on his computer. Is there anyway to stop this? Is it the bitorrents fault?
dimchopicha2003
limit you download and you upload speed in the options. leave at least 20KB/s free for browsing.
Hazen
I am having the same problems. When running BitComet, my internet connection is very slow on my computer, and other computers in my LAN. I have my UL/DL speed limited at 5KBs, which is very low compared to my connection which is 6M down and 600K up. As soon as I close BitComet, all computers start to run normally. I have forwared the port in my router also. Also noticed when I'm running BC, I get horrible packet loss to certain sites, but when I close BC, all is clear. bitdave
I have a dlink wireless router also. You should make sure that you have the latest firmware for the router. And maybe the settings guide in my sig will help you figure out how to limit the bandwidth bitcomet uses.
