cooldude456654 Posted August 6, 2006 Share Posted August 6, 2006 sure! 1) Make sure your connected if you are (the ball on the bottom will be green) and if your not the ball will be gray and say something like Dht not connected. Fix this by going to options, preferences, and finally click choose random port then press ok. :) 2) Now it should be working to start a search you should go to favorites and click search in the upper left hand corner it should be next to channel ( keep in mind this is not the only way to search for files but a good way for a begginer). 3) The box will manually set you searching Wtorrent but you can change where you search by clicking the empty circle next to torrentspy, torrentportal, or torrentreactor. Choose one and type in a search. All the sites work differently so make sure to follow there directions. 4) Most of the time you scroll down to find many files you should click on those the fit your description, make sure to also check the type of file it is (movie, game, software, etc.) and is the one you want. 5) Once you find a file you like click on it (make sure if it is a movie its not kb because 9 out of 10 its to short to be a movie and your just wasting your time) there may be comments about the file if there are read them they can save you from downlaoding a defective file. 6) Now Just Hit 'Download" 7) A box will appear with your file hit ok. It will now transfer to bitcomet once its there it will download. Keep in mind you usually must wait for the file to download completely to play the file. 8) When the file is downlaoded fully right click and save the file and open it in another media player because bitcomet media player stinks! 9) I use BS and VLC media players. 10) Open it in the other media player! 11) Enjoy your file whether movie, music, or software. There are so many tips I cannot go on so any other question create another post! I hope I helped. You may need winraw if your downloading software and other 'things" but not for movies. Don't forget to install the codecs (FFDShow, Realmedia and Quicktime) first. If you want to write the files to a DVD and be able to play them in a standalone player you will need to convert them unless your player supports the formats they are in (XviD, DivX, Realmedia, Qicktime, MPEG etc.). If you just want to write the files on DVD without altering them and without being able to play them on a standalone player, then simply use your Bitcomet to download Nero Burning Rom or some other program, like DVDSanta.
