neon87
Gday If im downloading torrents with separate files (or video episodes) i usually download them one by one....and they usually work. But sometimes they dont... (yes be shocked) in this particular case....i was downloading a television series. Episodes before ep 5 were okay. After having completed ep 5 alone...well the file was in the folder. So yea that works. But when i open it in windows media player, classic windows media player or VLC player it does not work. It comes up with a 'cannot render the file' error. i dont think its a codec problem (coz i have all current ones) plz help. itll be much appreciated big big :)
kluelos
Don't assume all episodes were encoded the same way or by the same person. VLC doesn't use the system filters and codecs at all, so that suggests the file is either corrupt or encoded by something out of left field. Is the extension different? Some codec packs include a freeware utility called Gspot, and it's also available for download. Try feeding it the file and see what it makes of the encoding.
