gian
Greetings, I've downloaded a file (download show 100%). But the file extention is still in ".bz2", why? I suppose that is a .tar file(the filename is "tiger-x86.tar.bz2"). And now I cannot open is even if I physically rename it to ".tar". What should I do? Regards, Gian. p/s: this is the second time I download and cost me days non-stop.
kluelos
It's a form of unix compression called bzip. I believe WinRAR can open these. Oh, and bookmark this site.
Dark_Shroud
p/s: this is the second time I download and cost me days non-stop. There are these magic things called search engines. Next time type the extension in it and do a search to find out what it is. Because downloading it again won't change the file format.
