BitComet not connecting

Recommended Posts

Hi, please help me someone :( I just installed bitcomet, and try to downlaod some movies but it never connect to the tracker. there are like 50 seeders but I cant connect does anyone know why? Then I tried another torrent same thing, it said connecting but it never connect to it. I waited all day long hoping it will connect soon, but thats weird. before when I use aureus I can connect normally no problem, I downloaded bitcomet because it was more popular so I thought it was better. I have zonealarm pro firewall, but when I first open it I allow it to asccess internet already. I see the bottom of bitcomet saying Not loginned in. Do I have to log in somewhere to be able to connect to trackeR? Or change some settings? Can someone please help, thank you so much ps the torrent are from mininova.org, but that is not a porblem I use azureus before I can downalod eveyrhting from there.

Which version of BitComet are you using?

Also, this appears to be Firewall Issue, ensure that you have allowed BitComet to access your Network through your firewall(s) - In your case: ZoneAlarm Pro.

If you are sure that you've already allowed access for BitComet through your Zonealarm firewall, try disabling it for a split second and see whether BitComet begins to download.

Zonealarm can't be disabled, it will keep running anyway. The only way to stop it is to uninstall it. ZA can't keep up with P2p traffic, it blocks a lot of legit users and sometimes even the connection to the network.

Try uninstalling ZA and just use the Windows Firewall to test BC.

hey guys thanks for the reply. so yah I listen to your suggestion and shut down zonealarm. then I try to open bitcomet it doesnt even work, I try to open internet explorer it doesnt work either, basically when I try to access the internet with za off I can't. But when I turn it back on, I can access the internet no problem. anyone know why? is it because za is trying to protect me thats why I cant access internet when its off? Anyways im gonna redownload azureus and see if I can connect normally, if yes then I will uninstall bitcomet, if no then i'm screwed??? :( :( :(
