alexandra
I've downloaded a file from bitcom for the first time. I thought I'd managed more or less to do everything correctly but when I go to open the file (its a TV file), I can hear it, but cant see it!! it just shows all the waves and stuff as if it were an audio file. What have i done wrong? Can anybody help me?? Thak you!!!
The UnUsual Suspect
Hi, It sounds like your computer doesn't have the proper codecs (decoders) to play the file correctly. Here are some links... CCCP (best for playing of files) http://cccp-project.net/ k lite codecs (best for playing, editing and encoding) http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm if you select the k lite pack, don't just install all the options, or you will surely have problems (default settings work fine for nearly every user) Be sure to select to install "Media Player Classic" (included with both packs), it will play more video types then most players will. Another option would be to install "VLC player" from "videolan.org" All of the above are free (DO NOT install both codec packs) Suspect
