connection problem

hey i posted a while back about how no trackers ever connect and a few ppl were saying how they had the exact same problem. i've noticed something new though, and thought maybe if u knew how to fix this, it would fix the tracker problem?

i've noticed that when i press the 'Web' button, that i get this:

The page cannot be displayed

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

this happens no matter what web site i type into the address bar. now, from my knowlege, bitComet uses internet explorer to browse the net with. Now, i can load goggle into my internet explorer just fine, but it still wont load in bitComet. i am able to connect to that DHT thingy (it sais: DHT connected node: 0) i dunno what else i am supposed to connect to, but bitComet seems unable to connect to anything - torrents or web sites or anything

Now, as i menitoned in antoher topic a while back, i have disabled ALL of my firewalls and all the usual things u ask ppl to try. This only happened after i upgraded to 0.70!!! when i try to install an older version, it still doesnt work. its like this new version has changed something somewhere and i cant get it back to the way it was before when it was working fine.

i have no other internet connection related problems with any other program i use (which is alot) i've did virus scans, adaware, all of that stuff.

can anyone figure out why its not connecting to anything at all now?

I have this exact problem!!

Nothing will even initiate download. It says 'Not logged in' at the bottom bar...but I dont see how to 'log in'
