ManyIdeas
I just downloaded the latest BitComet.zip update. I already have the older version running... with 10 downloads in progress. What's the best way to install the new version (and continue with my 10 downloads). (I can't believe this info isn't mentioned right on the "download" page.) :(
bitdave
First stop the downloads then install right over your current version. For the .zip package just overwrite the corresponding files. For the .exe installer package just run the installer.
ManyIdeas
First stop the downloads then install right over your current version. For the .zip package just overwrite the corresponding files. All of my downloads continued right where they can left off... except one. I had a huge file... it was about 90% done... and that 1 started over from 0% for some reason. Ugh. 48 hours of downloading... wasted. If I had known that would happen... I would have NEVER have updated.
bitdave
Stop that torrent that started over rightclick on it and select Manual Hash Check wait for it to check how much of the file you really have
ManyIdeas
Outside of BitComet... my DSL line is capable of a max of 185kB/s downloads... and about 40 kB/s uploads. What would be some good values to use in BitComet's max upload/download settings? Thanks
bitdave
You shouldnt have to put in a Download cap and for your upload cap i think 32 KB/s should be good for you. Read through the settings help in my sig to figure it all out for yourself.
