hairlesswookie62
I can't connect to a P2P from the college I attend. I changed the protocol entryption but no deal. Has anyone else tackled this?
The UnUsual Suspect
This is a common problem. Unless you can bribe your system admin with a case of beer (or something), to give you a listening port, it might be hard to use bit torrent. You may be able to disable listening port, but if it works, your downloads will be slow. You may also want to try using a proxy, but this too will slow download. Dark_Shroud
Use BitComet 0.70. Set NAT Traversial to always. Set Protocol Encryption to always. Use a proxy for tracker communication only. These settings should allow you to get downloads working to a degree. You should also inquire as to why BitTorrent is blocked, its not illegal and use for pleantly of legal things? Surely people download linux or other open source downloads or play WoW in their dorms.
