squaly23
I moved into a new apt this semester, and it's owned and operated by the college(school runs the internet). Bitcomet was working for me when I first moved in, then the upgraded versions came out and everything went to h***. I just now downloaded the .70 version, but I still have the same problems, which are I cannot download the initial torrent file. I open it, save it to a location, but it will not save, it will sit idle untill it times out. Any Ideas? PS the torrents are popular, health is good, and all that sort of BS. kluelos
Some institutions are blocking torrent files by filetype, which means you can't do an http download of them. Unfortunately, most sites don't offer any alternative like FTP. That means you'll have to get your torrents by other means such as having a friend elsewhere email them to you. You might even agitate for an ftp server on your favorite site, or at least mention the problem and possible solution.
Dark_Shroud
You could call the apt manager and ask why you can't download Linux distributions via BitTorrent. And if someone asks why you're dling linux just say I wanted to check it out.
